The short version: we quote before we work, we verify before we open anything, we stand behind the work, and we expect to be paid on completion. The longer version follows.
These terms govern your use of fastlocksmith.ca and locksmith services provided by Fast Locksmith Ltd. and its city teams (head office: Surrey, BC). By booking a job or using this site, you accept them. City sites may add city-specific details; where they do, those apply alongside these.
Every job is quoted before work starts — on the phone for standard work, or on-site in writing where the job can't be scoped remotely. The quoted price is the invoiced price unless the scope genuinely changes, in which case work pauses until you approve the revised quote. After-hours emergency calls carry a higher call-out rate, disclosed on the call.
Before opening a door, vehicle, or safe, or cutting keys to one, the technician must verify you're entitled to access it — government ID, proof of residence or ownership, or authorization from the owner or property manager. No verification, no entry. This protects you as much as it protects us, and it isn't negotiable.
Payment is due on completion unless a commercial account with terms is in place. We accept the major cards and other methods listed by your city team. Unpaid invoices may accrue interest at the rate stated on the invoice and reasonable collection costs.
Workmanship is warranted for 90 days. Hardware carries its manufacturer's warranty, which we'll help you exercise. The warranty doesn't cover damage from misuse, subsequent break-in attempts, building movement, or work modified by someone else after we leave.
Scheduled (non-emergency) bookings can be cancelled or moved without charge with reasonable notice. A call-out fee applies if a technician is already en route or on-site when a job is cancelled, or where no authorized person is present at the booked time.
We carry $5M commercial liability insurance and repair what we damage — that's the point of hiring a licensed locksmith. Beyond that, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount paid for the job in question, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that BC law doesn't allow us to limit.

Franchise information on this site is an invitation to enquire, not an offer. Any franchise relationship is governed solely by a signed franchise agreement and the disclosure documents that precede it under applicable franchise legislation.
