About Fast Locksmith

Head Office — Surrey, BC
One van.Then eight cities.

Fast Locksmith is a BC-grown network of city locksmith teams sharing one dispatch, one pricing playbook, and one standard. This page is the head office — the part that holds the paperwork and answers the phone.

The company started the way most good trades businesses do: one fitted van, a phone that never got switched off, and a habit of turning up when we said we would. The first territory was Surrey. The second came because Surrey customers kept calling us out to White Rock and Langley anyway.

A decade on, the network covers eight cities across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley — Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, Langley, and White Rock — with tens of thousands of completed jobs behind it.

How the network works

Each city has its own trucks, its own technicians, and its own website with local pricing and neighbourhood pages. What they share is the machinery behind the scenes: a 24/7 dispatch line that quotes upfront from one playbook, shared training, shared supplier accounts, and the head office that keeps every licence, bond, and insurance certificate current.

That split is deliberate. Locksmithing is a local trade — the tech who knows which strata towers use restricted keyways gets the job done faster. But answering phones at 3 a.m., ranking websites, and negotiating hardware pricing are scale jobs, and they're better done once, well, for everyone.

The standard

Every technician in every city carries a BC security licence under the Security Services Act, passes a criminal record check on hire and annually after, and works under $5M commercial liability coverage with WorkSafeBC registration. Quotes come before work starts, and the price on the phone is the price on the invoice. If a tech can open your door without drilling, they will — non-destructive entry is always the first attempt.

What's next

More cities. The same system that took one Surrey van to eight territories is now opening to owner-operators across BC and Western Canada — if that sounds like you, read the franchise page.

► How a call works

Three steps, no runaround.

01

You call, we quote

A real person answers, asks what's going on, and gives you a price and an arrival window before anything is booked.

02

Nearest truck rolls

Dispatch routes the closest licensed tech in your city — typically on-site in 20–30 minutes for emergencies.

03

Done, documented

The work matches the quote, the invoice matches both, and your new keys work before the truck leaves.
